Siddipet (Telangana) [India], September 22 (ANI): Telangana Jagruthi chief K Kavitha took a veiled jibe at her cousin and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao as she celebrated Bhathukamma festival in BRS President K Chandrashekhar Rao’s native village, Chinthamadaka.
Kavitha on Sunday alleged restrictions on her visit to Chintamadaka, and dropping a hint, she said that Siddipet may become her “karmabhoomi” in future.
Without dropping names, she called Chinthamadaka “private property” and said, “I have a lot of memories of coming and going to Chinthamadaka with my family. After the movement started, in 2004, when KCR resigned as an agitating leader and went to contest as an MP. From that day until today, coming to Siddipet or Chinthamadaka, it is like a private property.”
Telangana Jagruthi chief added that the alleged restrictions would not prevail in her father’s native village.
“However, this land of Chinthamadaka is the land that gave birth to a cheetah, the land that gave birth to KCR. I believe it is a testament to the fact that the entire village has come together to celebrate this Bathukamma festival, showing that no one’s restrictions will prevail on this land,” she said.
Recalling KCR’s leadership in the movement for the formation of Telangana, she said that her “janmanbhoomi” (birthplace) might be her “karmabhoomi”.
K Kavitha added, “This trend should continue, because with your blessings, KCR once created ripples from here and brought the state of Telangana and placed it in front of you. If you give your blessings, this is my birthplace, this is my mother’s home. And this is my janambhoomi, which might become my karmbhoomi in the future. We can’t say for sure, but with your blessings, anything is possible. I want to let you know this at this moment.”
Kavitha’s attack against her cousin Harish Rao began earlier this month, as she resigned from Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) upon her suspension from the party. She lashed out at T Harish Rao and J Santosh Rao, accusing them of “planning to destroy our family and party” in connivance with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. (ANI)
