Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 25 (ANI): Union Minister Raksha Khadse on Saturday praised the Uttar Pradesh government’s efforts in organizing the Maha Kumbh, highlighting the extensive use of technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), to streamline event management and enhance the experience for pilgrims.
“The UP government has made great arrangements here… This time, technology has been used a lot in Kumbh. With the help of AI, many things have become easy here, which is benefiting the government for managing the event and facilitating the people coming here,” Khadse told ANI.
Earlier today, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an aerial survey of the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj.
Recently, the Mahakumbh-2025 in Prayagraj has seen an unprecedented influx of devotees, with a massive 10.80 crore plus taking the sacred plunge at the revered Ganga-Yamuna-Saraswati confluence, as of Friday.
Despite cold conditions, a large congregation of devotees gathered at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj to take a dip in the ongoing Mahakumbh. Apart from this, authorities are focusing on preparations for the upcoming Mauni Amavasya on January 29, anticipating large crowds of devotees.
According to tradition, pilgrims flock to the Sangam–the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati (now extinct) rivers–to take the holy dip believed to absolve sins and grant moksha (liberation).
Rooted in Sanatan Dharma, the event signifies a celestial alignment that creates an auspicious period for spiritual cleansing and devotion. The Mahakumbh Mela is expected to host over 45 Crore visitors, marking a historic occasion for India.
Mahakumbh, which commenced on January 13, will continue until February 26. The next key bathing dates include January 29 (Mauni Amavasya – Second Shahi Snan), February 3 (Basant Panchami – Third Shahi Snan), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri). (ANI)
