New Delhi [India], August 1 (ANI): After the video of woman being harassed went viral, Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav said that the Uttar Pradesh government needs to restart the 1090 women’s helpline.
A recent video from Lucknow had gone viral on social media which showed a woman riding pillion on a bike being harassed by a group of men.
Dimple Yadav talked about the video and said that the government must identify the people and take action against the people.
“The government must take action on this. There are videos and recordings of this, so the government can easily identify the people who did this. They had so proudly formed squads like the Romeo squad and Juliet squad are just namesake and have not done anything,” Yadav said.
She also commented on the number of harassment cases that have increased over time and the Uttar Pradesh government needs to restart the 1090 helpline for the women.
“The number of harassing cases against women have been on the rise lately. The Uttar Pradesh government needs to restart the 1090 helpline for the women,” she said.
