New Delhi [India], January 10 (ANI): BJP MPs Yogendra Chandolia and Praveen Khandelwal shared insights from the party’s core group meeting on Delhi elections, with discussions focusing on seat nominations and upcoming strategies for the polls.
Chandolia, addressing the media, stated that the BJP leadership was meticulously reviewing seat nominations.
“Today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and all the leaders in charge of Delhi are discussing the nomination on all seats. He (JP Nadda) has asked all of us for our opinion on 41 seats, our national leadership is discussing each seat in detail… BJP government will be formed in Delhi… If the parliamentary board meeting is held today, then the list will come today or else it will come tomorrow,” Chandolia said.
Praveen Khandelwal, after attending the meeting, shared that organizational matters were also discussed. “There was discussion about the organisation in the meeting today. We received guidance from Amit Shah ji and JP Nadda ji,” Khandelwal added.
Meanwhile, BJP candidate from Rajouri Garden Assembly, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, strongly criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s administration, accusing him of neglecting public health. “People of Delhi want to oust AAP-da and bring in BJP for development just like Gurugram… 21,000 people died by drinking unclean water in Delhi within one year,” Sirsa pointed out.
He also took issue with Kejriwal’s recent remarks about voters from Purvanchal, calling it an affront to citizens. “Now that Arvind Kejriwal is losing, he says that the voters are not right as they have come in from Purvanchal… Bhagwant Mann came on a flight spending Rs. 50 lakhs for the sake of complaining against this in the Election Commission… BJP welcomes voters from every corner of the country but it is a matter of shame that Arvind Kejriwal demeans voters from Purvanchal calling them names and welcoming Bangladeshi Rohingyas,” Sirsa said.
Additionally, Sirsa raised concerns about Kejriwal’s treatment of the Jat community during his tenure. “Why was Jat not given the due respect in the past 10 years? Arvind Kejriwal did not give a ticket to even one Jat in his tenure and now he remembers every family,” he said.
Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal had earlier accused the BJP of facilitating a large-scale vote fraud in the New Delhi Assembly constituency, claiming in a press conference that the local election officer has “surrendered to the BJP” and is aiding in fraudulent activities.
Speaking about the alleged vote fraud, Kejriwal said, “The local election officer of the New Delhi Assembly constituency has surrendered to the BJP. He is facilitating all the wrong works of the BJP… The ECI has assured us that they will not allow all these practices to happen and strict action will be taken… The local DEO and ERO should be suspended.”
Kejriwal also highlighted an alarming number of fake applications for the cancellation of votes. “In New Delhi Assembly constituency, from 15 December to 7 January, in 22 days, 5,500 applications have come for cancellation of votes… These applications are fake… A big scam is going on… In the last fifteen days, 13,000 applications have come,” he said, stressing that the people listed in these applications denied submitting them.
