New Delhi [India], November 26: A saint of the stature of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj graces this world once in many centuries. Born in 1922 in a humble village in Uttar Pradesh, he began spreading the message of divine love and devotion with unmatched zeal at the young age of 16. Over his 91-year lifetime, he unlocked the wisdom of the Vedas and scriptures for people across India and the world. Alongside spiritual enlightenment, he made profound contributions to social and physical well-being, a mission his eldest daughter, Dr. Vishakha Tripathi, pursued with remarkable dedication.
Leadership of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat
In 2002, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj entrusted the leadership of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (JKP) to his three daughters–Dr. Vishakha Tripathi, Dr. Shyama Tripathi, and Dr. Krishna Tripathi. Dr. Vishakha Tripathi, appointed as President of JKP and Bhakti Mandir, located near Prayagraj, took on the mantle of fulfilling her father’s vision to elevate humanity both spiritually and materially.
Establishing Grand Temples
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj established three awe-inspiring temples to lead people on the path of devotion, all of which flourished under Dr. Vishakha Tripathi’s stewardship. Prem Mandir in Vrindavan, celebrated globally for its unparalleled beauty and spiritual essence, draws lakhs of devotees everyday for the darshan of Shri Radha-Krishna and Shri Sita-Ram. Kirti Mandir in Barsana, devoted to Shri Radha Rani’s mother, Kirti Maiya, stands as the only temple of its kind in the world. Bhakti Mandir in Mangarh, his birthplace, embodies his vision of love and devotion.
Free Healthcare for the Needy
To address the physical suffering of the impoverished, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj established three free hospitals in Vrindavan, Barsana, and Shri Kripalu Dham – Mangarh. These facilities offer free consultations, checkups, and medicines, bringing relief to countless deprived individuals.
Women Empowerment Through Education
Dr. Vishakha Tripathi was also a trailblazer in education and women’s empowerment. Institutions providing free education to girls from primary, right up to B.Ed etc founded under JKP prioritize free of cost quality education, fostering a new generation of empowered women.
Continuing the Mission
Following the departure of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj to the divine abode in 2013, Dr. Vishakha Tripathi worked tirelessly to expand the reach and impact of JKP’s initiatives. Her relentless efforts amplified the spiritual and material benefits for countless lives, fulfilling her father’s legacy with grace and determination.
An Irreparable Loss
On the morning of November 24, 2024, tragedy struck when Dr. Vishakha Tripathi passed away unexpectedly in a road accident. Her untimely demise sent shockwaves through her loved ones, the JKP family, and millions of devotees worldwide who had continued to walk the path of devotion under her guidance.
A Life That Continues to Inspire
Devotees, deeply mourning the loss of their beloved “Badi Didi,” took solace in her teachings and affirmed that the association of Guru and Guru-jan is eternal.
Dr. Vishakha Tripathi Ji’s contributions to devotion, Guru’s service, and women’s empowerment set new benchmarks, impacting countless lives. The world will forever remember her as a visionary reformer and devoted disciple of her father and Guru Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, whose legacy of compassion and spiritual enlightenment will inspire generations to come.
