Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 17 (ANI): The cleanest city of India, Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, is all geared up to continue its journey of being at the first position by aiming the top spot for the eighth consecutive time in the Swachh Survekshan 2024.
Swachhta Pakhwada 2024 started today on the occasion of the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will conclude on October 2. During this, the Indore Municipal Corporation also launched a song depicting their aim to clinch the title again.
The song can be heard as ‘Indore ek Daur, Swachhata me Sirmaur; Ab tak jo paya hai, aage bhi pana hai; Number 1 phir aayenge, sabne ye thana hai. Swachh tha, Swachh hai, Swachh hi rahega Indore…”
Notably, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Indore, he then said that Indore is not a city but an era (Daur) and the line has been included in the song.
Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday is celebrated as Seva Divas and cleanliness is Seva for Indore. On this occasion in Indore, the Swachhta rath and Masal will go to each lane in the city under the supervision of Safai Mitras. A special cleanliness campaign will be run till October 2 in the city.”
“With the resolve of Swachh tha, Swachh hai, Swachh rahega, Safai Mitra will move across the city for Indore to bag the title of cleanest city of India for the eighth consecutive time. We will also reward the best cleanliness team with a trophy. We also launched a cleanliness song today which will become the voice of the heart of each lane of Indore in days to come,” he added.
