Mumbai (Maharastra) [India], September 11 (ANI): Two men were arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl while she was on her way to home after witnessing Ganesh Utsav in Nalasopara of Palghar district, police said on Wednesday.
An incident of gang rape of a 10-year-old girl by two people has come to light in Nalasopara of Palghar district. In this case, Achole police has arrested both the accused.
According to the police, the 10-year-old girl lives with her family in the Shirdinagar area of Nalasopara East. The girl had gone to see the arrival of Ganesh in the area, while returning home from there, two people stopped her on the road near the house and took her to a deserted place and raped her one by one, said police.
The victim’s clothes were found soaked in blood, and while her condition was not good, the family suspected that something wrong had happened to the girl.
After this, when the girl was questioned, she told everything to her parents; subsequently, her mother reached the nearest Achole police station and lodged a complaint. After this, police registered a case and arrested both the accused. (ANI)
