New Delhi [India], September 9 (ANI): Calling Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi ‘Yuvraj’ of Congress’s dynasticism, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Monday slammed the Congress leader over his remarks on “RSS and unemployment,” made during his US visit and said that the latter wants to insult the country and tarnish its image.
“Rahul Gandhi is the ‘Yuvraj’ of Congress’s dynasticism. It is unfortunate that a man who is sitting in the opposition, who was born with a golden spoon. He doesn’t know the ground reality and doesn’t try to understand it. He has no vision and he speaks what is given in writing to him…Rahul Gandhi wants to insult the country and tarnish its image,” the Bihar Deputy CM said.
BJP National Spokesperson and senior advocate Nalin Kohli said that Rahul Gandhi does not want to associate himself with anything that is part of India’s glorious past.
“Rahul Gandhi is the leader of the opposition of the world’s largest democracy so he has to choose his words in a manner that gives the complete correct picture. It is strange that he always finds some good example of China and never finds a reason to look at it from India’s point of view about what all has happened in terms of the relationship between India and China. He finds fault with the parliament’s functioning and refers to it as a war zone. He fails to inform people that the opposition parties led by him somehow look for an opportunity or an excuse to disrupt parliament,” Nalin Kohli said.
He further said that Rahul Gandhi will raise questions about the RSS and its history but he won’t inform the rest of the world that India’s history was taught in a skewed manner right up to PM Modi’s government.
“He wouldn’t even be seen on International Day of Yoga which is now observed across the world…It’s almost as if Rahul Gandhi does not want to associate himself with anything that is part of India’s glorious past. He has much to answer. It cannot be on a script given to him and then he would go out and tarnish India’s image,” he added.
Earlier on Sunday, Rahul Gandhi talked about issues faced by the youth due to unemployment and said that the act of production creates jobs. But India organises consumption, which is a reason for worry.
“The West has an employment problem. India has an employment problem… But many countries in the world don’t have an employment problem. China certainly doesn’t have an employment problem. Vietnam doesn’t have an employment problem. So there are places on the planet that are not struggling with unemployment. There’s a reason. If you look at the United States in the 1940s, 50s and 60s, they were the centre of global production. Anything that was made, cars, washing machines, TVs, all made in the United States. Production moved from the United States. It went to Korea, it went to Japan. Eventually, it went to China. If you look today, China is dominating global production… So what has happened? The West, America, Europe, and India have given up on the idea of production and they’ve handed it to China. The act of production creates jobs. What we do, what the Americans do, what the West does, is we organise consumption,” he said.
Rahul Gandhi further said that the RSS believes India is one idea and Congress believes that India is a multiplicity of ideas.
“The RSS believes that India is one idea and we believe that India is a multiplicity of ideas and we believe, by the way, very much like the United States, we believe that everybody should be allowed to participate. We believe that everybody should be allowed to dream. Everybody should be given space regardless of their caste, language, religion, tradition, or history. This is the fight and the fight was crystallised in the election when millions of people in India clearly understood that the Prime Minister of India is attacking the Constitution of India because what I am saying to you, union of states, respect to languages, respect to religions, respect to traditions, respect to castes. This is all in the Constitution,” he said.
Rahul Gandhi arrived in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday for his three-day US visit. The Congress MP was welcomed at the airport by Sam Pitroda, Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress, and members of the Indian diaspora. (ANI)
