Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 29 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath introduced four new Ministers of his cabinet – OP Rajbhar, Anil Kumar, Dara Singh Chauhan and Sunil Sharma – to the House on Monday as the Assembly session commenced.
“These four Cabinet Ministers were part of this Assembly. I introduce them as part of the Cabinet in this House,” Adityanath said while speaking at the Assembly.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana welcomed Samajwadi Party leader Mata Prasad Pandey who has been appointed as the Leader of Opposition in the House.
“I thank you for your gesture. The state is facing very serious issues currently – there is flood, law and order issues and corruption as well,” Pandey said.
In response, Speaker Satish Mahana said, “We will discuss all of these. You are the LoP and you have the right to give notices, you will do it and we will discuss all of them. The government is ready to answer.”
Samajwadi Party (SP) MLAs entered the well and protested over electricity, flood and law and order issues.
Uttar Pradesh Assembly LoP and SP MLA Mata Prasad Pandey greeted Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as the Assembly session kicked off.
“I will try my best to raise the issues of the deprived people who have been neglected by this government in the Vidhan Sabha. We will raise all issues whether it is in the matter of electricity, law and order, or governance. It is a 5-day session. Now we had requested that the session be extended for another 5 days. Now the government decides how many days it will be. We will try to continue it further so that all the problems can be discussed,” Mata Prasad Pandey said speaking to ANI.
Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a legislative party meeting ahead of the State Assembly Monsoon Session commencing on Monday. Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya were also present in the meeting. (ANI)
